A claims department specialist with at least 2 years of experience in car hauling industry that has experience in processing, investigating, and resolves insurance or legal claims by gathering information, reviewing documentation for accuracy, verifying coverage and damages, negotiating settlements, and communicating with all involved parties to ensure claims are handled efficiently and accurately. Ability to effectively and professionally communicate with all the parties involved in the claim. Determine liability, evaluate damages, conduct market research, and determine best and most cost-effective settlement solution based on the evidence and circumstance. Maintain accurate and organized claim files, documenting all activity and progress.
The role is responsible for ensuring strict adherence to federal, state, and local regulations, including those from the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA), California Highway Patrol (CHP), IRP (International Registration Plan), IFTA, and the Department of Transportation (DOT).
